What's in season right now

I’ve been diving deep into seasonal cooking and I’m curious how many of you prioritize local sourcing in your dishes. For example, here in Oregon, we’re seeing a bounty of late summer tomatoes and squash. I’d love to hear what’s fresh in your area and how you’re incorporating those ingredients into your menus.

Late summer tomatoes are incredible for fresh sauces; I love making a simple bruschetta with some local basil and a drizzle of good olive oil. Have you tried roasting the squash with herbs for a nice side dish?

I totally hear you! Those late summer tomatoes do drive me nuts when they’re bursting with flavor! I’ve been enjoying them in a simple caprese salad lately, just with fresh mozzarella and a splash of balsamic.
