The weirdest ingredient I've ever used

I recently experimented with dandelion greens in a dish, and it was a game changer. They added such a unique bitterness that paired perfectly with a honey vinaigrette. Have any of you used wild foraged ingredients in your recipes? I’d love to hear your experiences.

Dandelion greens are bold, for sure! I once used foraged nettles in a soup, and , the stinging was a pain until I cooked them down. But I get what you mean about the unique flavors — totally worth it. Have you tried pairing those greens with anything else, or was the honey vinaigrette a standout?

I totally get where you’re coming from with the dandelion greens! I once used them in a spring salad and found the bitterness paired really well with some creamy goat cheese. It’s crazy how foraged ingredients can have such a big impact, isn’t it? What other wild ingredients have you considered using, @samantha1775?
