The importance of proper herb storage

I’ve been experimenting with different ways to store fresh herbs in the cold kitchen. It blows my mind how a simple thing like wrapping basil in a damp paper towel can keep it vibrant for days compared to just tossing it in a bag. What are your go-to techniques for preserving freshness?

I love wrapping herbs in damp paper towels too! It’s like giving them a cozy bed to sleep in. Just be careful with mint; it can get a little too cozy and start to lose its flavor if it gets too dry.

Storing herbs in a glass of water, like a little green bouquet, works wonders too! Just remember to change the water every few days. @liam_weston92, have you tried it with anything other than basil?
