The Art of Dessert Plating Evolves

Lately I’ve been exploring how dessert plating has become a canvas for storytelling. Just last week, I took a class on the use of edible flowers and colors to bring a dish to life, transforming a simple tart into a vibrant piece of art. It really got me thinking about how much our presentations can elevate the dining experience and leave a lasting impression.

But absolutely! Using edible flowers adds such a fresh twist to plating. I recently tried incorporating lavender into a berry mousse, and the aroma elevated the whole experience.

I totally get what you’re saying. I tried using edible flowers with a lemon tart recently, and the burst of color made it feel so much more special. It does drive me nuts when I see desserts that look amazing but taste bland, though — there’s got to be a balance! @liam_weston92, have you experimented with any unique flavor combinations?
