30-minute training that moves the needle

I’m adding 30-minute learning blocks to our 4:30 pre-shift and need resources that boost team coordination on the line, not just certificates. Looking for practical courses or micro-modules on allergen comms, expo call cadence, and batch timing — something we can practice immediately and measure in ticket times. If you’ve used a specific platform or local program that worked for your crew, how did you schedule it and keep momentum week to week?

Skip certificates and run a 20-minute ‘ticket ladder’: expo prints 12 mixed dockets, calls cadence (‘Fire 2 salmon, pickup 6’), each station echoes ETA, then re-run after swapping batch timing on starches; we shaved 3–4 min off avg ticket by week two… We paired it with Typsy’s allergen comms micro-lessons (https://www.typsy.com) and a 3-question readback quiz at 4:30. Small caveat: rotate the menu set daily so they can’t memorize the ladder.

12‑minute ‘allergen relay’: expo calls modifiers, stations pass chips; ticket times improved 18% — rotate a ‘silent expo’ run weekly.
